My "Welcome Home" Committee

After 5-6 days away, this committee of one was waiting for me on the bird feeder this morning. Would you call it a present...from a rodent?

She took the cracker from my hand, and scurried off, not even giving me a backwards glance. Some welcome.

Doug and I took a short hike this morning, staying away from our woods. You see...it is bow season (for deer) in Michigan, and we don't want to be mistaken for a big brown animal. One more hike on Friday before our Sunday departure.
