Windsor Half Marathon

StorkRock after 13 miles looking pretty good despite having suffered on the way round.  It was a hot day maybe 24 degrees and it took its toll on the runners. I was only spectating today and even at about 4 miles people were really struggling. SR says she has never seen so many ambulances taking people away at a race, also that this is the only race she has experienced where there has not been enough water stations. The main issue is that it starts at 1pm - the hottest time of the day if it had started at 9am temperatures would have been more like 14 degrees and everyone would have been a lot happier.  It's a shame as it is fantastic scenery through Windsor Great park, but next year we may be looking for a different race.

It was good to meet up with my old running partner Dave who also completed the race, just a shame I couldn't run with him. For me the 1.5mile walk from the station to the start line and back was quite enough.
