Border Wars

I was reading my Facebook page, minding my own business, when a post from Kelly's Korner Tavern (our neighborhood pub) appeared saying "Border Wars, U.S.A. vs Canada ice hockey. Any time USA is ahead...pints of beer are just $2.00". We are in So Cal and our son that is in Texas was talking to my wife and said,"Hey, Kellys has $2.00 pints whenever the USA is ahead. It's a tie game...you and dad ought to get down there for dinner!" Well, what were we to do? 22 flat panel TV's, 31 taps of beer, prime rib dinner cooked by Joe to perfection. There was no hesitation. On our way. We arrived and ordered dinner from Rafferty, the owner and long time family friend. Still tied at 2-2. Ten minutes later team USA scores and the tavern yells in unison "Two Dollar Beer, Two Dollar Beer, Two Dollar Beer!!!"

Got my Two Dollar Beer and my blip. What a country! USA! USA! USA!
