On guard duty

This morning Toffee was enjoying her favourite pastime of being 'the cat who sat on the mat', when she suddenly started, sat bolt upright and was fully alert, ready for action.

I couldn't see anything amiss in the garden but after about a quarter of an hour, I heard the faintest of bells tinkling away in the garden next door, obviously the sound that had disturbed Toff earlier. The noise of the bell was swiftly followed by the appearance of a pretty little tabby kitten, complete with a blue collar and bell. At the sight of Toff on guard duty, the little kitty disappeared straight back over the fence again.

Who needs a guard dog when you've got Super Toff on guard duty?!
