Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons

A special day today. I (Annie) went with my stepmum to Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons near Oxford for lunch, which was her birthday present from us. We started by sitting out in the fabulous garden with a glass of champagne, marvelling at the fact it was October and we were basking in the sun. The whole lunch was just amazing - and we now won't need to eat for a good few days.

The blip is the side of the very beautiful building, with the gardens wrapped around. On the right is the croquet lawn - if only we'd have had more time... Walking round the enormous kitchen gardens after lunch, it was lovely to think just how few food miles a lot of lunch had travelled.

An amazing thing to do - and a fabulous (and rare!) treat. Wow.
