To Run The Gauntlet
I like to get things done promptly.
I normally fill out my own tax return within a week of the start of the financial year. Nowadays it is possible for us on the Isle of Man to complete an online return of income to our Taxman (or Assessor of Income Tax as he/she should more properly be called) Any figures that are not immediately known at that time can be estimated and supplied later.
It is a system that works very well for me.
However every year there is one set of accounts that I do not do personally because I am a trustee and those accounts are professionally prepared. Every year it seems to turn out that I have to go and sign the accounts on the penultimate or last day and then post them myself in this letter box.
