Another day another pink blip for #BCAM

This hydrangea is a curious beast. Earlier in the year it was the the bluest of blue and now it has this deep rose tone but only on the petal surfaces exposed to light. Underneath it is still blue.

The sourdough is looking good. An overnight proving I think then into the oven tomorrow. Fingers crossed. I am feeling a bit inadequate after looking at lots of sourdough blogs - I don't have a banneton, grignette or baking stone. But honestly, do I really really need them? Obviously I will rectify this because I am a gadget tart but I can't help feeling that it is made unnecessarily complicated and cliquey.

Now off to watch Strictly. I do love this time of year - I know it's silly telly but it pleases me enormously.
