Tábor
Tábor is the second largest town in South Bohemia in the Czech Republic on the way to Prague from our town. I have blipped it previously Here. Hubby had eaten a wonderful roast duck lunch there that time and has been dying to try it again. We dropped in to the same restaurant when we drove my sister back to Prague airport in July only to find out that it is only on the menu at the weekends (it was a Friday). My girlfriend flies back to Australia tomorrow so we decided to drive there for the day and try for the duck again. We did and it was wonderful, although my friend chose a steak instead and said it was delicious. We wandered around the old town which was founded in 1420 and many very old buildings remain.
This image was taken from near the old fortress. I thought I would join in Chanter63´s word challenge for October - today´s word is light. The light is very hazy in the background of this shot although it was mid afternoon and is typical of autumn weather in these parts.
