Autumn Crocus

On another lovely sunny Sunday. A carpet of autumn leaves beneath the Nerines, Crocus goulimyi flowers lifting their faces to the sun.

A great afternoon out with Polish friends, their daughter's 12th birthday. He's an artist photographer with a shop on Magdalen Street, inspiring work on display. How did we first meet them ..... Jacinta chose to befriend the mum in the school playground when they were newly arrived from Poland with no English. Never underestimate how a friendly hello can change someone's world.
