Odd one out

Crocus banaticus from moist woodland clearings in the mountains of Romania is a crocus with a difference. The three inner petals are much smaller than the outer ones. It also has a beautiful, many branched purple style. A bonus is that it's a good plant for UK gardens, the downside is that it only increases from seed which is a slow way forward and means the corms are expensive.
