From the dark corner.....

Oh to be back in beautiful Edinburgh!

I was sad to leave Ayr and mom as always but it was easier knowing that I was only moving across the country to where my heart belongs. I have been feeling truly alive in this wonderful city as usual and have not stopped smiling since I arrived!

I woke up with anticipation, apprehension and my usual nervy stomach this morning. Dearie me! It's a wonder I managed to get out of the loo long enough to actually get the bus today! Sorry about that but despite the fact I love going there, I always get like this.

Mom went with me as far as Glasgow to make sure I went and she got back on the bus to Ayr while I caught the 900 to Edinburgh. She made me laugh on the bus to Glasgow saying 'Are you sure you wouldn't be better off getting the train? You don't want to cut your nose off to spite your face!' That from my lovely mom who'd cut my whole head off yesterday really amused me!

Seriously though, staying in Leith makes the bus easier as the bus station is on the right side for me. Anyway, most of this has been written whilst on the bus so apologies for the wobbly writing.

I went straight to get my Ridacard renewed in the bus station and then got straight on a number 11 to A Haven. I did take a great picture outside the front of the hotel (my home for this week) but as most of you have seen it on Twitter or FB, I decided on the only proper picture I took today at the corner of St John's Church at the West End of Princes Street. I'm ashamed to say I went to McDonalds for my dinner before meeting David (my friend and A Haven owner) at Usher Hall as we were going to see Billy Connolly!

I'd managed to get tickets in the sixth row and it was a hilarious two and a half hours. He was welcomed onto the stage with thunderous applause to which Billy said 'You're only doing that because I'm ill, or Indian! I'm expecting good service when I go for an Indian meal now!'

It was revealed on Thursday night's 'Who Do You Think You Are?' that Billy had Indian roots! Anyway, it was a great night and I cannot even start to summarise his set!

Tomorrow I am meeting Lippinfou for a cuppa at Ocean Terminal in the morning but then the world (well Edinburgh anyway!) is my oyster.. I'm so glad to be back!

Track? I really fancy an old favourite from Peter Green tonight - Need Your Love So Bad..
