First day back home after our Greek holiday.

We collected Bertie from his holiday lodgings on the way home last night and so this morning we went for a good walk along the canal and up to Rodborough Common.

This is Griffin Mill Lock which has just been completely restored, one of the major projects on the restoration of the canal that runs through Stroud. As we were walking towards the lock a flash of electric blue caught my eye and a Kingfisher was sat on top of one of the fence posts by the side of the lock, I think that is the first time I have ever seen a Kingfisher in real life!
