The fisherman...

Early start today, as we were going on a boat trip to the Islet of Santana, and then heading on to the beautiful beach of Santana itself.
The Islet of Santana is a strange and striking rocky island with enormous caves, strange rock formations crowned with a ring of palm trees. There was a small red and white lighthouse perched precariously on the highest rocky peak. The Islet is also home to Boca d'Inferno (Hell's Mouth) where the water shoots out of the rocky basalt channels and gushes high into the air.
Today's trip also included a visit to a chocolate factory!
I chose this shot of a traditional Sao Tomean fishing boat against a village background...
