Bright lights in a dull day (weatherwise)

Rattled off lots of jobs for an upcoming visit to a Young Offenders Institution to begin the process of engaging with people about the work we are doing. Very interesting stuff too. Found out that the place we're going to is in the Midlands not near Peterborough as we'd thought! So now I have to buy a new train ticket.

Went swimming in the morning and to a rubgy meeting in the evening. The rugby meeting was very useful as the session was all about concussion; how to recognise it and what to do if you think a player has been concussed. Suprisingly, very little is known about the long term effects of concussive injuries, if you have several over your life there may be long term damage to the brain. I also learned that a player can get concussion even though there has not been a blow to the head.

So despite the dullness of the day, weatherwise, it was a very satisfying day, productive and instructive. Points of light shining in the gloom.
