Sweet pea

Today's the day ............................. to linger

I'd like to say that the reason I plant my sweet peas so late is that so they will keep going longer. It's actually because I always forget about them until it's almost too late to be planting them at all.

But there's always compensations when you have a lovely mild September as we have had which extends the growing season. These ones have managed to linger on and are still producing new flowers every day.

Unfortunately, with the arrival of this new colder, wetter stuff - I think the end is nigh ..........................
