Beautiful gifts

We arrived back late last night, after a rather fraught days travelling which was spent wondering if we would be able to get into the house or not. Had emailed an SOS to a friend in the morning before we left Cyprus, asking for help. Spent the day between flights and trains trying to get wifi access to see if the message had got through. - no luck.

At long last, after more texts and phone calls, we were happy to find out that all was well and Mr Fix-it had fixed it!! He had been to the house with a locksmith and sorted the problem - no need for a late night break in!!!

The kids had left everything lovely and tidy, little touches here and there. The marriage certificates were on the bed with photo and commemorative hearts. But.... When we checked there was a mistake!!!! My sons name was wrong!!! What next???

This was easily rectified by a phone call today, no problem. We have opened all our cards and most of the gifts. This picture is of a box which arrived a few weeks ago from my friend who is a jewellery maker, working mainly in silver. We were so very touched when we opened the boxes and read her letter ... She has made us each a necklace. Mine is a beautiful silver flower stem on a chain, and Jonathan's is two music notes on a black leather cord. So personal and thoughtful. We feel very blessed.
