Föhn

While most of Germany is having rather mixed weather, the same system that has been over the UK, here in Bavaria we are being saved by the warm southerly wind called the "Föhn" which comes over the alps.

Our area is right on the border of these two systems. See lots of dark clouds but it has stayed dry, sun keeps coming out and the fog from last week has gone. Forecast says it will stay for a few days and may get up to 26°C.

I have often written about some of the effects the Föhn has, one of which is to "pull" the alps closer which can be seen on the Blip, taken during our dog walk today, overlooking Ottobeuren.
