Autumnal

Another day doing projects and haning around waiting for parcel deliveries with diverse things like replacement waterbed heating switch (a hot water bottle is not enough to make up for a non heated waterbed), yet another Video Grabber to digitalize VHS tapes (bought one not that long ago but it won't work on Windows 8 - annoyiing even if not that expensive), trailer parts to replace those too rusty to be reused. For some reasons these parcels were not sent using the normal post (DHL) and the other two companies had problems. One of them as I discovered today simply showed on the tracking that I hadn't been home yesterday when the driver called. As it turned out today, the driver was ill and they don't have any back up, Cost me several hours yesterday hanging around to be sure I was there when the parcel should have come.

Autumn is beginning to show it's colours but until we have a real frost is hanging on to green as long as possible. We still haven't started up the central heating but do light the living room fire most evenings.
