Loughrigg Fell

Today we got wet ... very wet!

Our first port of call was Castlerigg Stone Circle. We set up in a row only to find the wind blowing the rain straight into our faces and camera lens. The group still managed some interesting and varied shots between us - though few managed to achieve complete raindrop free views.

We then headed down to Rydal, with half taking a walk down to the lake, while the rest of us stayed around the church - a wise dicision when the heavens opened.

Finally we went along to White Moss when the rain finally held off while we took a walk through the woods and up onto the Loughrigg Fell overlooking Rydal Water. The bracken was glowing nicely with its autumnal colour, and whisps of low cloud over the tops of the fells gave some of the best views of the day.
