Munni

I heard somewhere that the Internet has a lack of cat pictures and I had to try to help.

Today was the Abschiedsfeier of Anne Schmidt. That's the "farewell party" if you didn't know. It was specified in her documents that it was NOT to be called a Trauerfeier (funeral ceremony).

Anne (and in German you pronounce the "e" and it sounds more like "Anna") was a funny old stick. The first time we met she insisted that she would only speak German to me, despite the fact that I had about 100 words of German and 90 of them were nouns.

But we still got on.

An independent woman who had very definite ways about her. Things were done Anne's way, or they were done wrongly. The difference was very obvious. I will never eat Raclette again without thinking about her. Or indeed Zwiebelkuchen (that's an Onion Tart).

Here's to the memory of Anne.
