Huff

I worked from home again and only had one short trip out to the corner shop. There was an altercation going on there between a customer, the staff and the polis both inside and outside of the shop, so I kept my camera in my bag. During the afternoon I looked out over the square periodically in case something caught my eye, but only saw a squirrel fight (exciting but much too fast) and heard a lovely song from a goldfinch who remained invisible, alas. However, I noticed that this pigeon remained in the same spot all afternoon, mostly in this hunched up posture. Other pigeons came and went but he remained, unmoved. In fact I think there's one peeking round a bit of the roofing in this, probably saying to the others "Shh - he's still in a terrible huff".

Don't know why I assumed that it's a male pigeon. ;-)
