Geese
A welcome sign of Autumn recently has been the sight and sound of geese flying over the house either to forage in the fields or to continue their migration south from the Arctic regions. Today after a long walk along the coast we stopped at Aberlady Bay to watch thousands of geese coming into roost.
The rare Liitle Egret was still fishing beside the bridge and joined by hundreds of other birds on the river and there appeared to be two other Little Egrets on the nearby saltmarsh but the light was poor due to a very heavy rain shower. Although not very clear this is possibly one of the best photos and needs to be seen in large.
