Rugby

Hit a low spot this morning so decided to get out and about. I had some errands to do in town, and then headed down to Caerlaverock WWT for lunch and a bit of birdwatching. So far, only a handful of whooper swans have flown in from Iceland, but thousands of barnacle geese have arrived and it's an amazing sight to see them take off and land en masse.
One of our photography assignments is to shoot
an outdoor sport, so I went off to Park Farm where the Dumfries 2nd XV (in black and white) were playing a Glasgow side. They had about 20 spectators and noone seemed bothered about an extra one turning up and taking photos. It wasn't an easy task - I enjoyed shooting the line-outs and scrums but tries and conversions were impossible to capture. I enjoyed the game, though - might go back again another day.
