Apples are not the only fruit

Lat year we had hardly a conker from the huge horse chestnut tree in front of our house. This year, hundreds are lying beneath it, all brown and glossy and waiting g to be gathered by the children who are now too grown up to get excited about them. They will, however, be good food for mice and deer and I hope they enjoy them.
