Warm welcome

It was dark by the time we reached our holiday destination, this cosy hotel in the middle of Jersey. It is called The Greenhills hotel and it is out in the country, quite difficult to find on a dark damp evening. But the welcome was warm and the room is beautiful.
We drove down to Weymouth this morning and caught the catamaran ferry. It hasn't been a windy day but it was a rough crossing with bottles in the bar crashing to and fro and people falling over. The ferry calls at Guernsey first before finishing in St Helier.
We had just one course in the bar, Normous had a huge bowl of moules and I had a starter of venison pate. We are looking forward to eating here one evening.
