Moon over the morro

Morro meaning hill - and usually synonymous with shanty-town.

Having stayed up in the hills a day longer than intended so that I could meet a deadline, an empty fridge and non-functioning internet took us to the club at lunchtime. Good to be reunited with our friendly barman, Valerio. The sunshine and colours kept tempting me to wander around outside, camera in hand. However, I managed to finish my work and we reluctantly set off back down to Rio, where we were rewarded by the moon rising to greet us as we were arrived. This shot out was taken from the car window, in a slow-moving traffic jam. I just hope the CCTV cameras weren’t trained on that bit of highway – I was driving.
