Bird In The Bush

Queensland is home to many beautiful birds. This one visited the garden this morning - a Pale-Headed Rosella, member of the parrot family. They have more colours on their backs - as if they tumbled into a paintbox and came out daubed with a bit of every hue.

Today is my son's birthday and I'll be at his house for cake and birthday tea. Those who know my story will know that today is bitter-sweet for both of us.
