JD's Jetty

A friend is wanting an image of the jetty that belongs to "JD", to put up on his wall. So have been watching the weather to see when there is an interesting sky to go with it. This morning there was some banks of low cloud over the mountain as the sun was coming up, so drove the short distance to check it out.

But by the time I got there, the mountain had completely disappeared in the clouds (I think "Cycling Granny" calls is a cloud inversion??) but there was a little bit of light coming through at lake level.

It was going to be no good for our friend as he wanted the mountain as well, but I hung around for awhile to see if it was going to lift, but no luck.

But I rather liked this slow shutter speed moody shot.

...and thanks so much for everyone who helped put my sunset rainbow into the spotlight....I was delighted.
