Gathering Geese
This may not be everyone's idea of a photo and I'll admit it wasn't done intentionally, but I quite like the effect.
We're getting variable influxes of Canada Geese on the lake at Trentham. I thought there were several hundred today. They're here for a few days then disappear. I think they're just using the lake as a stopping off and resting point before flying south.
You can tell the season has changed just from this type of bird activity. We've also got the little egret back and the cormorants who overwinter on inland lakes rather than at the coast.
I've a bit of catching up to do. I've been out and about quite a bit over the last couple of weeks so have several blips to upload and catch up on journals.
