The Cenotaph
Erected in 1923 as a memorial to sailors who died in the First World War. Now the French national memorial to all sailors who have died for France. This at the Pointe Saint-Mathieu. Next to it is an 11th century Abbey and chapel and then literally within feet of that a lighthouse and signal station. A fascinating place and there are more photos on flickr
