Golden October

A violent storm on Saturday mashed the crocuses in the garden but another beautiful October day today brought the best out of those under glass. Here the Maltese form of Crocus longiflorus positively glows in the warm sunshine.

A surprisingly positive meeting at school today but the reluctant child appears to be heading into a trough of non-attendance which takes the shine off it a bit :-(
