A rare photo of Richard....in his element
My husband recently retorted, somewhat indignantly, that I never posted photos of him on Blipfoto. I replied that this was because he had told me, in no uncertain terms (and I quote) "don't ever put my photo on Facebook". So I didn't. Anyway, his ego is clearly bruised and so here is a (rare) photo of him, where he is happiest - Molineux.
For those of you not from the Midlands (or, more specifically, Wolverhampton), Molineux is the ground of Wolverhampton Wanderers, aka Wolves/the Wolves, wearers of old gold and black and the source of so much joy and sorrow in Richard's life. (I swear, at points in our relationship, my heart has truly bled for all Wolves fans. They are a team who seem to test their supporters' loyalty to the hilt and continually take them on a roller coaster ride of emotion throughout the football season. Personally I couldn't care less what the football result is, but seeing, at first hand, the pain these people go through, I'm so glad I don't care!)
Anyway, Richard and I had a rare weekend away together, for a friend's birthday party, in the UK and as we were stopping off in Wolverhampton we went to the game.
So here is a picture of Richard, in the ground where he first experienced the thrill of a football match, with a cup of the famous 'cowing Bovril' (it's a Midlands thing, not a swear word, and if you're a Jasper Carrott fan you'll get the meaning.) Richard, this one is for you!
