had a walk into town along the river, then spent the day ogling colleges (which were lovely, esp the chapels, tho would impress me more if i hadn't been to st andrews and studied in buildings which are also old and pretty, sorry), ogling history via an open top bus tour (bit chilly, we had to defrost in the pub), then ogling the ceiling during evensong at kings. and then there was handel's 'messiah' in the evening, which was lovely - and i was rather amazed that i used to be able to sing it, even those squeaky ridiculous high bits in the hallelujah chorus! not any more, but still, i used to, which is better than never having been able to.

delightful all round - more so since it was a couple of hundred miles from the office and the cause of my rsi/stress :-)
