Dark Skye
Boat trip today, taking us into the heart of the Cuillins and some pretty spectacular scenery (the same scenery as ridden the buggery out of on a bike by Danny Macaskill (a must watch even if you're not into biking or scenery).
Took advantage of the clear skies after heading back, and drove up a really dark road to a really dark spot and tried capturing the milky way over the Old Man of Storr. It was so dark I had no idea how near or far the rock formation was and it turned out it was a bit further than I'd have liked. You can just about make it out in the bottom of the picture, basking in the orange streetlight glow of Portree seven miles to the south.
