Big skies

An early start for me today for a Saturday. I was up and out by 7.50am and off to Cambridge for a half day partners' conference. It was an easy run over and I was there in good time feeling surprisingly perky.

With our long serving managing partner stepping down and leaving the firm to become a college bursar, we were witnessing the end of an era and heralding a new one. In other words we were talked at about finances and the future for 3 hours and some nice words were said about J.

After lunch I came home and listened to 'Under Milkwood' on the radio. I'm still listening now I've got home and am really enjoying it. It's a masterpiece.

I'll be having an Indian takeaway later and might do some sorting of some of my stepmum's stuff in the meantime. Though I'm not sure I can face it yet. We'll see.

For October we've got mild weather at 20C today. My blip is of the big skies over Bedfordshire, snapped on my way home and treated with a great little app that applies the style of certain old masters to photos (rather oddly called Photocopier).
