Family time
I did the intercessions in church this morning (an unexpected christening had me adjusting them on my iPad as the service began!) and came back to find my lodger had mown the lawn, moved all the boxes from the dining room table to the sitting room (to free up the table for dinner with my aunt and uncle this evening), and hung out the washing. What a star. He then disappeared to the office for the day.
There were no excuses therefore to duck out of the ironing, so I put the X factor and 60 minute makeover on and did the whole pile. I also changed a bed, did two more loads of washing and got it all dry in the lovely warm wind (17C today) and worked out that I've got all but four Christmas pressies sorted this year. Joy.
I toddled over to C's to get my weekly dose of Teddy and to have tea with them and my aunt and uncle (see blip). Then D and G followed me back to mine and we had a very pleasant dinner with L too.
D and G are off for a twelve day study tour to the Holy Land and need to be at Luton airport early tomorrow which is why they're staying with me today. They're amazingly well travelled and even know Wanaka NZ. I was able to talk about the tree, the lake and mountains from everything I've learned from my blip friends (especially Tussock, a cylcinggranny and snowy!). They were most impressed. We had a very enjoyable evening and have all turned in for an early night.
