Female fairy-wren

An abortive trip to visit an open garden today - when we got there the car-park was full, and the line to get in was so long, we gave up. I'm certain the organisers didn't expect anything like the response they got.

Never being one to miss out on a visit to Laratinga, we took a very short detour and wandered around for a while.

A little bit late in the day for anything spectacular, but I did see this tiny female fairy-wren - her much more glamorous husband was there as well, but a good deal less inquisitive.

We had a great early lunch at Sazon, in the main street of Mt. Barker, and all in all it turned out to be a very nice outing.
