The Magic of Rain

I was surprised when I looked outside this morning!
Last night we had a good, steady downpour of much needed rain and this morning I could see bright green rows of baby maize shoots which had popped up after the rain; just like magic!
I spent most of the day catching up on the dreaded housework and weeding. Not only had the maize shot up, but also the weeds. Not to worry, everything is looking so vibrant and colourful and the day was warm and sunny. I also noticed that my favourite climbing rose; Cecil Brunner was flowering. Good to be alive.
