Broomstick Training

We headed to Alnwick Castle today and met Grandma and Grandad there. They are joining us for the rest of our holiday. It is a very impressive castle and there's loads to do. Orla loved the Knight's Quest, was frightened out of her wits by the Dragon Quest and had an absolute ball at the broomstick flying school. I was "volunteered" to demonstrate by the Professor - potential to be mortified but fine when you just go along with it. Orla was so excited that he picked me. We recreated an old family photo on the gun terrace with Conor, who is almost exactly the same age his dad was when his photo was taken there as a baby. Great day out, although the rain stopped us looking round the gardens so we've got that to look forward to for another time.
