Ain't that good news?

I wasn’t going to give you yet more crashing waves but this Extremely Silly Fishing was too good to miss. He only stepped back from the edge to get a cigarette out of his bag (tucked under the cliff) ... is this the only example of smoking making your life safer?!?!?!

And good news on yesterday’s story about the deer ... it didn’t drown!!!!
Our waiter in the wonderful Surf Side Cafe last night is also one of the surfing instructors and he swam with the deer! So it wasn’t washed away and drowned! What appears to have happened is the surge wave washed the deer out of the cove it was trapped in but then it swam across the bay. The Surfer/Waiter said it was a strong swimmer. Ain't that good news?
I hope it made it north to whichever herd of hinds it was looking for ... but I should think it needed a good long rest when it eventually staggered out of the water.
