Well they are growing at a Latitude above 54 degrees north.

Now English wine production has made much progress in recent years and vineyards here keep winning prizes. Of course Knottman's single vine is not in contention. But if you crush the grapes, mix the juice with honey and heat up the result it makes a delicious drink. At our next little dinner party it may be offered to whichever of our guests has to drive home.
