apples
Easy start to the day then off to Forty Hall for their apple day. A nice location only a few miles from the house, sunny, not too busy (apart from parking the car), tasty apples, a ukulele orchestra (complete with garlands, hawaiian shirts and fez), flea circus and more apples.
I'm missing the trusty Pentax something terrible - it's almost impossible to use a non-viewfinder camera in bright light. Or pretty much any light. And in combination with a manual lens. Gah. Got the quote back for repair and hopefully it should be underway by now.
Forty Hall had an exhibition by Clare Twomey - each bowl has a message inside about men's aspiration of personal legacy. Very interesting stuff; better large.
Rounding off the day with an hour or so of shed painting, risotto and homeland...
