Colorado: Prairie Dog Alarm

Prairie Dogs fascinate me. I love to just sit and watch them and listen to their communications. This little dog saw me slowly walking toward their town and raised up to send the alarm. Shortly after, several others were raising the alarm as well, and all the others were scurring to their dens.

This was shot at 200mm, and seriously cropped, so forgive the fuzziness.
