Amphawa floating market

Today I got a mini van from Bangkok to Amphawa, a popular weekend floating market for Thai people. It took me a while to find my 'Homestay' as it was right next to the river in the thick of the market with signs only in Thai (like most of this area). The market is crazy busy but there is so much great food. Out of all the many thousands of people here, I only saw a handful of Westerners.

Once all the tourists had gone back to Bangkok and I had returned from a boat trip to see the fireflies, I was treated to seeing Amphawa at night in a much more relaxed mood.
