Little umbrellas

I am enjoying having the boys home for half term - not sure I will still feel that way after two weeks! Adam will be busy with driving lessons and some reading around his subjects in preparation for a possible university interview. Thomas is relaxing and enjoying a quiet week. On Friday we are going to the Isle of Wight for the weekend and I hope the weather will still be mild as it is now.

The garden has many mushrooms popping up everywhere, and I liked these that looked like little umbrellas, all grouped together.

I am looking forward to going to see Luke in Strasbourg next weekend. He is really enjoying his time there, having a great social life and enjoying the course too. I believe he is now very comfortable speaking French and is pretty fluent. For his one week of half term he is going back to Munich to do a higher level of German than he did in the summer. He is pleased as his UCAS forms were submitted to the universities on Wednesday, and he already got an offer from one of them by Friday. As he is taking a gap year and already has his A level results these offers will all be unconditional, so no uncertainty there.
