Startling!

Just a few of the Starlings that visit our garden. They come in a large mob of up to 40 at a time and are noisy and argumentative but provide a lot of entertainment.

A day at home doing a bit of catching up - typing up fungi records, installing software and a bit of baking.

Sad news about Linda Bellingham. It is not far short of 3 years since I was diagnosed with bowel cancer. No cancers are glamorous - this is one the 4th most common but has a high embarrassment factor and doesn't get the same press as breast and prostate cancer, although if diagnosed and treated promptly is eminently curable and survivable - 70% and rising. I feel so lucky that I got that diagnosis and treatment in time. If you or anyone you know is concerned about the possibility, don't hesitate to get it checked out.
