Larder

After our sad day yesterday, I decided that it was time to sort out the cupboard under the stairs, which I have been meaning to do for a while. We use this as a walk-in larder to keep our spare supplies as well as wine, cat food, emergency basic supplies in case of bad weather and various other things. There are shelves all the way round as well as wine racks. Strangely enough lurking at the back of the wine rack was a bottle of peach wine, made by Gerry using peaches from his own garden. It has taken most of the day to sort and tidy this area; this picture shows just one small section.

Today we have had very high winds as well as heavy rain and some sunshine. Hopefully the power will not go off, but I cook using gas so at least I can still cook dinner.
