good things

i went to the pond today to photograph the newly returned (oxymoron?) buffleheads. alas, they were swimming playfully on the opposite side of the pond. even a b-jillion mm lens would have had a hard time reaching them. i settled for something a bit more in range. a break from the fall foliage. quiet and simple. perfect for today.
