Hurricane tail
What a wild day! The lashing tail of fading Hurricane Gonzalo has made its presence felt across Britain today, bringing 100+ mph winds. Our bit of Kent got off lightly, with a few branches down, but elsewhere there were tragic results and huge disruption. It was not a day to be flying anywhere.
I was grateful for a head-down day at home, with just a quick trip into our local village. I also popped along the bypass, where the swaying trees were raining leaves in a frenzied downpour, whipped into a torrent of gold cascading across the road.
Back indoors, I decided to blip this wonderful little statue that came home with us from our recent trip to Rye. There is something very calming and serene about the unique shape of a seahorse. Those are very welcome qualities today.
