Luton Hoo

Another day, another car launch trip. Tomorrow morning very early we are due to fly out of Luton Airport to Malaga, so a 5.20 am alarm call has been set. Tonight we are staying nearby at Luton Hoo, about 10 minutes from the airport.

This is the fabulous central Mansion House, the very upper-crust main hotel building, which over the centuries has played host to visiting royalty and dignitaries. We are billeted about a quarter-mile away across the 1,000-acres estate parkland, in the Warren Weir conference centre, which is still very pleasant if not in quite the same league.

We had supper in Adam's Brasserie, located in historic stables, and so-called because it was designed by distinguished 18th century architect Robert Adam. Lucky horses!

Early start tomorrow, so bed beckons.
